5 Bali’s Best Sunrise Breakfast Spots

One of the best things about a holiday in Bali is the huge range of gorgeous food options. You can have food from all corners of the world served by experts on this tiny island, and we especially love the breakfast options! To help you pick the right place we’ve hunted out a few early morning spots to fuel up for a day in paradise. From vegetarian to full English breakfast, here are the five best early morning cafes to visit.

Kynd Community

Kynd is a plant-based restaurant, bar and ice creamery. Tucked away next to Eden Life Centres on Jalan Raya Petitenget it’s a winner for the whole family. Outfitted with hip pastel colours and a forward-thinking menu, Kynd’s mission is to make a positive impact on the planet and its customers. How? With delicious plant-based food. Get on in for breakfast. We recommend having a creamy coconut mylk latte and a Kynd crumble with snake fruit!

Milu By Nook

Created by the founders of Nook, Milu is a Berawa based lounge-like cafe, bar and restaurant that opens up into a charming rice paddy facing garden. Based in Canggu, it has a small retail store at the front and has been decorated stylishly and comfortably with homeware items. There are three or four different areas to sit, and it’s great for kids. We recommend the smoothie bowls and juices over a lengthy champagne brunch.

Kim Soo Home

They call themselves fans of everyday beauty, and they’ve created an atmosphere that truly reflects that. Based in Seminyak, Kim Soo Cafe is a living experience with decor made up of recycled teak, glassware and ceramics. Marble top tables with comfy cushions on the seats make breakfast here a breeze. The coffee is beautiful but more than anything the atmosphere leaves you with a sense of wellbeing that’s fantastic to start the day.

The Fat Mermaid at Canggu

This is the ultimate power breakfast spot. You’ll find surfers and crossfitters fuelling up after a workout as well as families and couples galore. Nestled between Echo beach and the rice paddies of Canggu, the decor is laid back and contemporary. In line with that theme of relaxation, the food is high quality, well prepared and comforting. Here you’ll get a kick-ass breakfast and an excellent coffee amongst the creative vibes of the Canggu community.

Crate

Also based in Canggu, Crate is our favourite hipster hangout. The breakfast here is delicious, and the cafe is a busy hub of people sitting on scattered tables with chairs made of crates. The kitchen specializes in keeping it fresh with daily produce deliveries, and as a result, we highly recommend the eggs benedict with a tasty side of spinach. At Crate, you’ll find good music and good vibes, there’s also a gallery and lounge area to check out, and you can finish your food then have a wander around the retail sector that has sprung up in the streets close by.
