Bali’s Six Best New Year’s Eve Events

If you’re in Bali for the new year period and you’re looking for something to do then read on! We’ve put together a list of the most popular and fun events for every type of traveller.

Yes, as usual, there are lots of wild club parties to attend, but you’d be surprised, there are also lots of daytime gigs and more casual dinner events for those who don’t fancy getting sweaty with thousands of other revellers.

You may even feel like staying home for a catered feast and a bottle of wine! If that’s the case then we’ve still got some luxurious villas available. It’s the perfect way to set the scene for a New Year’s celebration with your loved ones. Check them out here and whatever you end up doing, we hope it’s memorable!

Daytime Giggles

Based in Seminyak, Mrs Sippy is basically a waterpark for grownups. They have gorgeous saltwater pools (so your hair can stay blond) and tasty restaurants to keep you fueled up in between splashes. There is a diving board and loads of floating lounge chairs where you can get NYE drink specials brought right to your side as you party in the sunshine. Mrs Sippy is open from 10 am on New Year’s Eve and will be happy to host anyone who wants to party, but doesn’t fancy staying up past 9 pm.

While Finns will be having a giant clubbing event later in the evening, their day club facilities are suitable for the whole family and they’re open from 10 am to 6 pm on NYE. You won’t be short on nosh as they have nine bars and several restaurants to serve you throughout the day. The kids can either play in one of the four pools at Finns, or run around on Berawa beach as you have a sneaky glass of champagne. Be warned though, later in the evening this placid environment will become a madhouse with DJ’s like Camelphat, Duke Dumont and Lost Frequencies set to take to the stage.

Deluxe Dining

While this venue is usually a ‘go-to’ for party people later in the evening they have an excellent dinner event this New Year’s Eve which shouldn’t be missed. For 2,200,0000 IDR per person, you can dine upstairs at Mejekawi, a gorgeous elevated restaurant. Their jungle-themed NYE special dinner includes a welcome drink and a bottle of wine to enjoy after your meal.

The W has an excellent NYE night market happening this year at Fire, their outdoor bar and grill. It’s a little pricey at 3,250,000 IDR per person but you’ll get all of the food and drinks you can handle. Imagine wandering the stalls to enjoy caviar blinis, truffles and Alaskan King Crab as you sip on a cocktail and see in the New Year. This is the ultimate treat for food lovers.

Wild Club Parties

Starting early and going very late on New Year’s Eve is the party at Omnia Day club. There will be hundreds of people dancing on the clifftops as the sun sets and the moon comes out to play. You’ll be thrilled to welcome in the New Year as the fireworks explode over the Indian Ocean and of course, Omnia has booked Australia’s number 1 club DJ: MaRLo to entertain the masses. This is our top pick for a night of naughtiness you won’t regret.

Bali’s most incredible new beach club is our second favourite pick for a night of New Year’s revelry. Get there before sunset to enjoy an awesome performance where world-famous mix artist; David Morales will drive some choir singers to the peaks of their vocal abilities! Once the sun goes down their dance floor will be packed with groovers covered in glitter and dancing to Dimitri from Paris. The drinks will be flowing and the sky will be alight with fireworks at this incredible new beach club. Ps – They are still taking bookings for private bungalows with plunge pools if you really want to go all out and impress a date.

Celebrating The New Year in Style

Whatever you end up doing on the 31st December, just make sure it means something! New Years is a time to take stock, celebrate and let go of all your worries. There’s no need to party too hard but if you do want to have a few drinks consider booking yourself a driver now to make sure you get home safe and sound at the end of the night. We wish you all the best for an amazing new decade of island living.
